Our Thanks
United Community Health Center’s board of directors, management team, employees and patients want to thank the following agencies, companies, organizations and individuals for their generous support of our mission. It has been through the generosity of these agencies and people that we have been able to provide reliable and accessible primary healthcare and to do so with a level of quality second to none.
Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold, Inc.
One Million Dollar donation towards construction of new construction expansion project.
US Department of Health and Human Services/Health Resources and Services Administration
As a federally qualified community health center [FQHC] and a 330 Grant recipient, United Community Health Center benefits from being granted nearly $1.4 million dollars each year from HRSA. This includes coverage for our providers under the Federal Tort Claims Act Malpractice Insurance. These dollars and liability insurance coverage allow United Community Health Center to provide healthcare services for the uninsured and for those in medically underserved areas.
State of Arizona
Dental screening program for children which brings educational, screening and sealant protection services to children who might otherwise not have access to any dental care. A healthy mouth translates into a healthier life and greater educational success for kids in school.
The Vaccines for Children program ensures that all children, regardless of their family’s ability to pay, will be properly protected.
Pima County Neighborhood Reinvestment Program
By funding the Continental Community’s application for funding, United Community Health Center is able to add the Pediatrics Practice Wing to the Continental Family Medical Center. From this new space more of our littlest patients will receive care.
Pima County Facilities
For nearly 30 years, providing affordable space for United Community Health Center’s clinical operations.
Diamond Ventures
Land donations to United Community Health Center from Diamond Ventures created a home for the Continental Family Medical Center [now 7 years old] and on which the new United Community Health Center Continental Campus will be built.
Trico Electric Cooperative
Supported our Dental Program for Kids by funding the purchase of mobile dental equipment allowing our dental team to bring screening and treatment to children living in rural areas.
Caterpillar/Community Involvement Program
Supported our Dental Program for Kids by funding the purchase of a portable chair and light.
United Way
For many years, United Way has supported United Community Health Center. Most recently they granted $25,000 for our Maternal/Child Health Services program.
White Elephant
This organization creates a giving program from the proceeds of their thrift store operation that tops $1,000,000 every year. United Community Health Center has been a recipient of funding from this nearly all volunteer organization for many years. From the 2007 award cycle we received $43,000. These proceeds support our healthcare services programs for children.
Greater Green Valley Community Foundation
This organization has been a consistent supporter of United Community Health Center’s programs targeted to bring healthcare to the children in our service area. From the 2007 award cycle we received $4,250 from the GGVCF to support these programs.
Tohono O’odham Nation
Through a grant of more than $100,000 the Tohono O’odham Nation enabled United Community Health Center to begin what has become our growing and effective Dental Program for Kids. Without their generosity hundreds of children in our service area would not have received the dental screening and treatment services that they needed.
Arivaca Area Health Services
From virtually the inception of United Community Health Center the people of Arivaca, through their Arivaca Area Health Services organization, have collaborated with United Community Health Center to provide us with a building from which primary healthcare services are provided to this very rural community.
Community Support
For nearly three decades, United Community Health Center has operated with the support of the communities we serve. For their continuing support of the United Community Health Center mission, we thank these many organizations whose management and members have, through the years, come to our aid and supported our programs.
