Support Us
United Community Health Center cannot hold true to our mission unless we have the money to support it.
As a federally qualified Health Center [FQHC] United Community Health Center receives about $1.4 million dollars each year to help us provide primary healthcare services to the under and uninsured and those living in medically under served areas. While this may sound like, and is, a lot of money, it takes significantly more funds to support our operation. We, like all other federally funded community health centers, are encouraged by the federal government to develop our private and governmental [Medicare and Medicaid/AHCCCS] insurance patient base. From this source we cover the operating budget difference.
We also rely on donations and grants from organizations, corporations and individuals to assist our growth plans. From small, medium and large donations, United Community Health Center carefully manages these funds to help us expand facilities, enhance services and bring care to everyone in our service area. The young and the old, the financially steady and those who are not, the insured, the under insured and those without insurance are all able to have quality primary healthcare in their own neighborhood. This is our goal and this we successfully provide.
We encourage you to support this exciting and important organization. We are working hard to reach for the stars, to create the best possible healthcare environment staffed by qualified and enthusiastic employees who are dedicated to meet the increasing requests for healthcare services.
Your support will make a difference in the lives of people who rely on United Community Health Center for their family’s care. Remember: Healthy Families help to build Healthy Communities.
If you would like to be a part of the many people helping United Community Health Center grow, here are a few ways you can help:
The UCHC Continental Campus Building Fund
United Community Health Center has been very fortunate to have Diamond Ventures, a local [and generous] land developer, as a long-time supporter. In 2000 they donated ~3 acres of land, in the Continental/Green Valley area, on which we built the Continental Family Medical Center. When that building was completed we thought we had a new home that would be able to serve all of our needs for many years to come. However, with the large population growth in Green Valley and our neighboring communities, we began to realize that we, too, will need to expand this clinical site. Once again Diamond Ventures stepped up and donated another ~3.5 acre parcel, contiguous to our original tract, and it is on this land that United Community Health Center is planning to erect a 21,000 square foot building. It will house clinical services and administration space and will allow us to consolidate our greater Green Valley service sites into space owned by our organization. There will be savings in leased space monthly rents and improved efficiencies and productivity. A win-win result.
How do we make this plan a reality? We need to raise a considerable amount of money. Some of it we hope will come from federal programs designed to support large construction projects for nonprofit entities. Qualification for such programs, as well as for some private sector grants is contingent on our developing matching and/or other sources of financial support. We expect it will take us several years to work through the building design and to raise the money for construction and furniture, fixtures and equipment.

Individual Contributors Restricted and Unrestricted Gifts
Some of our projects are quite large and will need funding support for furniture, fixtures and equipment. While we hope to secure some large donations from the private enterprise sector to help with this, it is from small, individual donations that will make these projects a success.
Over the years we have received a lot of support from individuals in the communities we serve who have generously donated dollars for pieces of larger projects. Perhaps you will consider assisting United Community Health Center with an unrestricted donation, allowing us to apply your dollars as the projects of the day need.
If you prefer defining how your gift will be used, you may let us know that with a restricted donation aimed at a specific project or aspect of a project [such as patient education equipment, lobby art work, infant scale, etc.] You can click here to view a current United Community Health Center Project Wish List, from which you may select item[s] your donation will fund.
If you would like to make a donation, please click the PayPal Donate Button at the top of this page!
Either way, restricted or unrestricted, know that the people served by United Community Health Center, will greatly benefit from your generosity.
